This week we are learning some prepositions of location to answer the question, "¿Dónde Está la Estrella?" (Where's the star?). We are learning to pronounce the letter "E" (eh), and we are learning about Ecuador and Emilio Estevez. We will be reviewing all of the vocabulary learned so far (Conversation, colors, dates, parts of the body) and then we will be searching for the lost star in the classroom. When we find it, we'll describe its location using prepositions. We'll also be reading the book, ¿Dónde Está Spot? Also be sure to ask about Ecuador and Emilio Estevez. Where did Ecuador get its name from? Who are Emilio Estevez's famous relatives?
Thank you for all of your submissions in our first annual POSTER CONTEST! They are all displayed in the hallway if you would like to see them! They were all so well done, so it was difficult to choose a winner, but congratulations to the following students for their winning submissions:
Please wish them luck as they compete in a state-wide competition through the RIFLA (Rhode Island Foreign Language Association). ¡Buena suerte!
Keep practicing your Spanish! This week, students can talk about things around the house and describe their locations. On the website, students should play the "Preposiciones" game.
Coming up next week... F is for "La Familia" (family)
