H is for... "La Hora"

November 14, 2016

This week we are learning all about "La Hora" (Telling time).  We are learning to pronounce the letter "H" (ah-chay), and we are learning about Honduras and Hernán Cortés.  We will be reviewing numbers as we use them to tell time.  We will be using clocks in the classroom to practice telling the time.  Also ask about Honduras and Hernán Cortés.  Who gave Honduras its name and what does it mean?  Why was it easy for Hernán Cortés to conquer México?

This week we are also celebrating "El Día de Acción de Gracias" (Thanksgiving).  We are talking about all of the things that we are most thankful for in Spanish!  Keep your eyes out for our bulletin board!

Keep practicing your Spanish!   On the website, students can watch the letter "H" video and play the "Hora" game.  Also be sure to keep reviewing all the other vocabulary we have learned.  Our list of words is getting really long now!  Next week is a short week, but for the classes that I do see, we will be playing review games to practice everything we have learned so far!

Coming up next week... Review Games!
