La Navidad

December 19, 2016

This week, we are learning all about Christmas traditions in Latin America.  We are reading the book, "The Legend of the Poinsettia" and making our own paper poinsettias.  We are also learning about some of the special foods that are eaten at Christmas-time.  We are continuing to sing some Christmas carols and we're finishing up our piñatas.  In our interactive notebooks, we are making a book with Christmas vocabulary.

I hope you have a very relaxing and joyous holiday season.  We will be out of school for two weeks which is a long time to be without Spanish input.  Try to encourage your students to go online and play some Spanish games every day to keep all the information they have learned so far fresh in their minds.  There are some exciting things ahead in the new year...  ¡Feliz Navidad!  ¡Feliz Año

Nuevo!

Coming up next week... "El Día de los Reyes" (King's Day).
