We are taking a break from the alphabet this week to do a special collaborative week with the science teachers. Each grade is learning about different aspects of the rainforest. Throughout the week, we will combine all of these aspects and put together the four layers of the rainforest (floor, understory, canopy, and emergent layer). In Spanish, we are learning all of the vocabulary words for the animals and plants that live in the rainforest. In science class, we are learning all about how the different layers work together and rely on each other. We are also talking about ways to protect the rainforest. We are also looking at maps to find where some of the largest rainforests in the world are located. If you are able, stop by and see our rainforest display! All the layers, animals, and plants are present and labeled in Spanish! This has been a very cool all-school project! Ask your students to tell you all about it!
Coming up next week... "S is for Ser" (Learning about adjectives)
