With a new year comes a new country and a new topic to talk about! For the month of January, we'll be learning vocabulary associated with food. We'll be learning all kinds of food words and we'll practice ordering in a restaurant or shopping in a market. We'll also learn how to conjugate verbs in Spanish that end with -er like "comer" (to eat) and "beber" (to drink) and verbs that end with "-ir" like "escribir" (to write). By the end of this month, we will know how to conjugate all the regular verbs in Spanish! That's pretty exciting! We'll also learn about "Me gusta" which is kind of like saying "I like," but it actually means "it is pleasing to me." This is a tricky one, but a very important phrase to learn! There are lots of fun games to practice vocabulary, quizzes to practice grammar, and videos about culture here on my website. Be sure to explore them all!
During the month of January, we'll also be talking about Puerto Rico. I'd like to put a cookbook full of our favorite recipes together this month which we can sell. The proceeds will go towards helping our neighbors in Puerto Rico who are still recovering from the hurricanes of this past summer.
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
