PreK-1st grade: We talked about the letter "B" (not "bee," but "bay.") We met the letter "B" and his friends, "barco, bota, bebida, and bebé." We traveled to Bolivia and learned about the flag and Lake Titicaca. We also met Simón Bolívar, kind of the George Washington of Bolívia. Finally, we learned about "Bien" and other answers to the question, "¿Cómo estás?" We are expanding our conversations in Spanish!
To do this week: Keep watching the video, "Hola, Hola, ¿Cómo estás?" on the "PreK-1st" tab and be amazed at how well your students sing along!
2nd-3rd grade: We learned all about "El Mercado" (The Market). We learned about "Me gusta/ Me gustan" (ask your students what the difference is). We talked about things in a market that we like and dislike. We also watched a video about a market in Nicaragua. They are very crowded and they sell everything!
To do this week: Watch the video "Descubre el Español Unit 1-2" video on the 2nd and 3rd grade tab as a great review of what we did in class. Watch the video, "Me Gusta" and maybe try a few games for "Frutas."
4th-5th grade: We learned all about "La Familia" (Family). We learned how to talk about the different members of our family and how to conjugate the verb, "Estar." We had fun dressing up and practicing a dialogue. We watched a video about the life of a typical Nicaraguan student.
